Sor.Kor.1 (SK1)

Definition

Simple cadastral declaration made by the occupant before 1972 — has no legal property value. Land registered as SK1 cannot be sold, mortgaged, or transferred. It is only transmissible by inheritance. Absolutely to be avoided for foreign purchase, even via leasehold (the lease would be void). SK1 lands are common in rural areas of the North-East (Isan) and West (Kanchanaburi).
