Transfer Fee 2%

Definition

Mutation fee of 2% of the appraised price paid to the Land Office on the day of signature, split 50/50 between buyer and seller (unless otherwise stipulated in the SPA). The appraised price is set by the Land Department and is typically 20 to 40% lower than the actual market price. For off-plan sales, the Transfer Fee is applied upon delivery of the property (generally 18 to 36 months after the preliminary agreement).
