Overstay (200 THB/day)

Definition

Exceeding the validity period of a visa or visa extension. Fixed penalty: 200 THB per day of overstay, capped at 20,000 THB. Beyond 90 days of overstay, one-year blacklist. Beyond one year of overstay, blacklist of 3 to 10 years depending on duration. Overstay is recorded at the time of departure from Thai territory (airport, border) or during a police check. Always leave the territory on the expiration date or request a valid extension.
