Work Permit (WP3 / WP10)

Definition

Thai work authorization issued by the Department of Employment, mandatory for any foreigner engaged in paid employment in Thailand. WP3 = initial application form; WP10 = blue work permit booklet issued upon approval. Requirements: Thai company with paid-up capital ≥ 2 M THB per foreigner, ratio of 4 Thai : 1 foreigner (1:1 for BOI), minimum salary according to nationality (50,000 THB for French nationals). Must be paired with a valid Non-B Business visa. Processing time: 4–8 weeks.
